Maria (Tia Bia) G. DeOliveira, 92, of Providence, RI received her wings on December 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in São Nicolau, Cabo Verde to the late Antonio C. Martins and Julia A. Martins.

She was a proud retiree of RI Hospital, where she worked as a housekeeper and aide. She was known for putting patients at ease with her smile, bubbly personality and cart of goodies.

She was the beloved wife of the late Pedro A. DeOliveira, sister of the late Andre C. Martins, Manuel A. Martins, Jose A. Martins, Jose R. Martins, Isabel Da Graça, Joaquim J. Gomes, João J. Martins, Antonia J. Martins, Pedro A. Martins, and Orlando A. Martins.

She leaves behind two sisters, Clara P Martins and Trifonia J Fortes, both of Providence, stepdaughter Beatriz DeOliveira of Providence, three grandchildren, Katia, Leroy, and Rayven DeOliveira, two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, friends, and traveling buddies.

Maria loved traveling, dancing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. She was full of life and will be truly missed.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 8:30 AM at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI, followed a mass of Christian Burial in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St, Providence, RI.
Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
